New Toy!

yesterday I got one of my new toys a LumiQuest Softbox III, I am pretty excited about this new little toy and look forward to getting some use out of it! Since I am pretty much the laziest photographer EVER I like its small portable size and its ability to quickly allow me to attach it to my speedlight.

I learned about this tasty toy while attending the 2011 Flashbus Tour with David Hobby and Joe McNally. If you ever get the chance to attend this event I would highly recommend it... Dave and Joe work well together and share lots of knowledge nuggets to make you more better!

Me thinks I should get in the better habbit of sharing my Picture of the day... so here is Saturday's shot.

Can you guess what it is? Its a bit of an abstract with some intense color to give some serious POP!

I have been to the mountain top!

Hoooya! Forgive me, I get a little excited at times for no reason but today along with having a the good past two days with my #potd (picture of the day) I gotz to chat it up with my twitter and facebook homiez and muster out a bit of work which... I ended up having to redo a bunch of... anyways, the work does not matter as much cuz its boring and I really cannot share the details as i am sworn to secrecy by my ninja cult code of ethics.

What matters is its getting warm outside and it feels great right now... which lends it self to fun times and possible picture opportunities.

Oh and that whole bit about being to the mountain top... that is about my klout style changing from explorer to celebrity! :-D Not that most folks would find that a big dang deal but I thought it was... I mean how many folks can say they are a celebrity? Huh? Now if I only had the cash, clothes and cars to go with it all.

*UPDATE* Booo... Klout has "downgraded" me to a specialist... a specialist come on guys I like being a Celebrity! Boooo!

Yesterday's daily picture...

So did I mention that I currently challenging myself to take new picture everyday? Of course not... haha! Well I am, and the project is commonly called a '1/365' or 'photo a the day' (mostly365) and the goal or point of torturing on's self in such a manner could be any number of things depending on the theme of the project. Mine is just to take a new picture everyday, I try to get them posted each day as well but as of late I have been finding this project becoming a chore and finding inspiration to take the photo is also escaping me.

BUT I will soldier on and do my best I have been wanting to try this and complete a 1/365 project for a few years now and I think its helping more then its hurting so that cant't be a bad thing right?

Soooo.... I have decided to give blogging a try it seemed like a logical choice since I have taken to social media and was looking for another outlet to share ideas, knowledge and my experiences mainly as they related to my photography... so stay tuned as I just may end up blogging about something that could actually prove to be useful... or not! :-D
